"I believe that the recovery with spiritual methods, and therefore without use of material techniques, has in the future some unsuspected possibilities. I believe that, little by little, your circle of competence will go besides that we define rightly or wrongly today, as "functional", to also embrace the whole organism. I see in front of me to be resplendent the aurora of a new age in which certain surgical operations, as for instance those on the tumors, will be considered a job of patching , and it will become us account, full of horror, how come once a so limited knowledge of the methods of care has been possible. There will be then hardly space for the traditional cares. I am afar to discredit somehow the modern medicine and the surgery. I nourish contrarily a great admiration for both. Nevertheless I have been able to give a glance to the enormous energies that are found inside the person, coming from a outside source, and that under certain conditions flow in her; energies that can be defined only as divine. Strengths that cannot only recover functional troubles, but also organic troubles, that then are only concomitant expressions of psico-spiritual troubles"
Carl Gustav Jung
