EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a method of auto recovery developed in 1995 by the Californian engineer Gary Craig on the basis of a technique call TFT (Thought Field Therapy), created by the psychotherapist Roger Callahan.

EFT is an emotional version of acupuncture, except we don't use needles.
If properly done, EFT appears to balance disturbances in the meridian system and thus often reduces the conventional therapy procedures from months or years down to minutes or hours.
The use of words, that could increase and strengthen the negativity of the emotions themselves, instead here, neutralizes the tied up negative effect of the emozionality pronounced.

It's a technique that baits chains of reactions to energetic and neural level , such that the issue analyzed in the session is literally transformed under one own eyes, modifying in the person limiting thoughts in strenghthening thoughts.
In our life are not the events that happen to create some emotions, but how, we interpret these events with our reaction to them. The emotions spring forth from our thoughts. The negative emotional states, like anger, deep sadness, limiting thoughts, fears and other, bring unbalance in the whole organism.
EFT brings equilibrium contemporarily to mental, emotional and physical level. When everything within us is in balance we feel a deep comfort and every sector of our life is all right because is fed by our energy, since we are a flow in movement.
It is not enough, in fact, to make the negative emotions emerge and acquire its awareness to find a sense of comfort, it's necessary to decontrol them.
Further, the basic method is very portable and learnable by almost everyone. No special education is required but it works still better when is practised with an operator, not so much for the technical aspect, but for the emotional aspect and of "search" of the problem.

How to practise EFT:

individualize and focus the issue

recognize the intensity of the issue from 0 to 10

tapping on the Karate point, orally expressing the issue with the following formula: "even if…. I choose to accept myself as I am, I love myself, and I completely forgive myself" (repeat it for three times)

keep tapping in succession on the points under pointed out, repeat the issue pronouncing the specific pain (physical-emotional)
begin inside of the eyebrow

under eye
under nose
under lip
clavicle alternate right prominence and left
under arm
under breast
above the head

measure the intensity again from 0 to 10 to understand if it has gone down, climbed or been unchanged and repeat a new round (In these last two cases there are some resistances to let go the issue, therefore a complete set is recommended with the sentence: "Even if I am afraid to let go this problem and there must be a deeper root I accept, I love and forgive myself completely and deeply) ".
